Only flat field stone markers are allowed in "The Meadow" and larger natural stones in "The Woods", no traditional tombstones (all must be approved by The Good Earth prior to placement). All of these items are provided by the families, The Good Earth does not sell funeral merchandise.

Burial directly into the earth. Allows you to bury your loved one in a natural, park like setting. An eco-friendly alternative to traditional funeral arrangements. We also have a section set aside for pets.

Eco-friendly and affordable yet possibly the most loving and memorable way to lay your loved one to rest.

NOTICE: In the State of Alabama every funeral service, memorial service, or interment or part thereof, that is conducted in Alabama shall be in the actual charge and shall be under the direct supervision of a funeral director who is licensed by the Alabama Funeral Services Board. Home Funeral Guide Services

The Good Earth is now working to implement the "One Wash Cloth" concept. At the time of death a hand knitted washcloth can be given to the family to use in the bathing of the deceased. It may be as simple as only washing the face or hands, but many believe that this ritual can bring great peace to the family and help with the grieving process. Please visit: onewashcloth.org.
